metric tags and how metric history is kept and presented

I have seen the following metric tags that can impact how the metic history is kept and presented,

1. im.metric-type="ts", this keeps the metric history

2. live-config="true" and im.metric-type !="ts", only the most recent metric is kept and presented as device config; live-config="true" and im.metric-type ="ts", in additin to above, metric history is kept.

3. im.metric-type="runtime", any idea?

im.metric-type="runtime" is use to declar complex matrix (configuration). we Keep the last three values of each metrix.
