I’d like to know what other opinions are out there. I’ve had some serious issues in the past with CPUSE and it hanging, so I want to be sure that all is well.

CPUSE has really developed into a stable product lately and I recommend it. You can use it both over the command line, or via the WebUI. Hotfixes and patches are not send out in CPUSE format from Check Point support as well.
It is best not to mix using the old UnixInstallscript and the CPUSE methods, and go only CPUSE.
