Indeni and SNMP capapilities?

The GUI of the Indeni Server provides the option to configure a SNMP Read community per device utilizing the well known port UDP 161.

What additional information does the indeni server gets via SNMP? I configured the SNMP community to monitor a Nexus switch but I didn't get any additional info. Does the Indeni Server utilizes the SNMP to get additional info except of the already deployed scripts per vendor?

We attempted to leverage SNMP for the proactive monitoring that we wanted to achieve in the connected devices, but overtime we found the protocol to be too limited. This will be removed shortly
