Hi All - Interested in your feedback. The recent Network Security Automation Trends Report indicated that Talent resource are the #1 barrier to automation adoption. I would like to get your feedback:


If you were given additional budget where / how would you use it this year?

  • Higher additional talent for existing network management and monitoring?

  • Higher talent for new automation initiatives?

  • Purchase new automation technology?

  • Replace existing network and security devices?


If none of the above, what are the other ways you would use additional budget? Thanks!

In my region different companies go different way:

- outsourcing companies hire additional staff and develop new initiatives and technologies to sell to customers;

- banks are unable to extend staff, they replace old devices to maintain compliance;

- industrial enterprises have less qualified staff than and upgrade their solutions only when they are obsolete.


In all three cases talent is first and technology is second.
