Indeni is installed on Ubuntu. Ubuntu is an open source operating system software for computers. It is one of the distribution systems of Linux, and is based on the Debian architecture. Indeni chose to use it as the base operating system because it receives a strong support from Canonical (its vendor) in the form of updates and security patches. Ubuntu Server is also the most popular Linux flavor in the public cloud environments.
