Command-runner still can generate an output file besides output.json?

I have an assigned IKP ticket to create SRX test output files. I tried to use command-runner to generate them. Seems it does not do it as it used to.

Only generate output.json. But some of SRX ind sctips are multi-step. Hard to create a test case.

Any suggestions ?
